General Rental Agreement Terms:
Contract Terms:
• The customer agrees and accepts that they have received and will return the vehicle in good condition and in perfect working order;
• Drivers under 25 and over 65 years old will be charged the corresponding daily fee;
• To sign the contract, valid physical documents are required, except for officially approved digital documents.
• Adelino e Décio III Lda may refuse to enter into the contract with customers who do not provide guarantees for compliance with the contractual obligations, without guaranteeing the refund of previously paid amounts. For this reason, the company may reclaim possession of the vehicle at any time after the contract is signed if misuse of the vehicle is detected or in case of non-compliance.
• To validate this contract, the Customer must provide Adelino e Décio III Lda with a valid telephone number, email address, and current residential address.
Prohibited Use:
• The customer commits to using the vehicle in accordance with the laws in force in Portugal, adhering to speed limits and parking regulations.
• The following uses are prohibited:
o Transporting goods, products, or other items in violation of customs regulations.
o Driving under the influence of alcohol or other psychoactive substances.
o Using any type of trailer with any motorized vehicle without prior company authorization.
Security Deposit:
Refundable Deposit and Deductible:
• The deductible or fuel deposit will be blocked only on a credit card until the end of the rental period;
• After the rental contract ends, the exact deposit amount is calculated and refunded, which may take up to a maximum of 30 business days.
• Only physical Visa and Mastercard cards in the contract holder's name, clearly legible, are accepted.
Payment Conditions:
• For payments related to any extras, insurance, and/or other fees, a debit card may be used.
• Cash payments are not accepted.
Accidents:
• In the event of an accident where the rented vehicle is damaged or causes damage to third parties, the customer must immediately request the intervention of the Public Security Police and notify the rental company immediately;
• The customer must immediately fill out the friendly accident report located inside the vehicle, indicating the location, date, time, names and addresses of those involved, as well as witnesses and a description of the damages caused and/or suffered;
• The customer must refrain from making any oral or written statements about liability for the accident. Failure to comply with these conditions will make the customer responsible for all damages caused to the rented vehicle and any third-party claims.
Insurance and Extras:
• BASIC COVERAGE: (MANDATORY)
o Collision coverage with a deductible is already included in the rental rate;
o In case of damage to the vehicle body, the customer must pay an amount for damages that does not exceed the deductible (other parts of the vehicle are not covered);
o All costs related to repairs and vehicle downtime are the customer's responsibility.
SCDW - Full Body Coverage
• Zero deductible – eliminates financial responsibility in case of damage to the vehicle body;
• No deductible required, with some exceptions;
• Theft or attempted theft protection (does not include items left inside the vehicle);
• Excludes windows and tires;
• The customer may be financially charged if intentional damage or misuse of the vehicle is detected;
• SCDW pricing varies depending on the contracted group and is specified by the company at the time of contract signing.
T&G (Tyres and Glasses) - Tires and Windows:
• Eliminates financial responsibility for broken windows and/or damaged tires.
• This insurance can only be activated along with SCDW.
• T&G pricing varies depending on the contracted group and is specified by the company at the time of contract signing.
24-Hour Roadside Assistance:
• Eliminates financial responsibility for any required vehicle intervention or towing services.
• This insurance can only be activated along with SCDW.
• Roadside assistance pricing varies depending on the contracted group and is specified by the company at the time of contract signing.
Fees and Roadside Assistance (VAT included):
• Lost vehicle keys: €250.00
• Fuel replacement: €350.00
• Roadside assistance due to driver misconduct: €65 per service initiation + €3.25 per km from the vehicle's location to the company's headquarters. Adelino e Décio III Lda is not responsible for customer transportation.
• Administrative fee for handling fines and penalties: €65.00 (excluding the fine amount).
Additional Driver:
• Up to a maximum of 2, with a daily fee of €10.00 per day, under the same conditions as the primary driver.
Pick-Up and Drop-Off:
• Pick-up and drop-off at the airport: €30 per trip.
• Pick-up and drop-off at hotels: Price confirmed upon hotel location request.
• After-hours service: €35.00 per service. This service applies from 8:00 PM to 7:59 AM.
Rental Conditions:
• Unlimited mileage;
• Collision coverage (with deductible, if applicable);
• Theft protection (with deductible, if applicable);
• Third-party liability (TPL) up to €50,000;
• VAT included.
Optional Extras and Services:
Special Equipment Available:
• Baby car seat (up to 12 months old or 18 kg) – €12.00 per day
• Child seat (2-4 years old) – €10.00 per day
• Booster seat (4-10 years old) – €5.00 per day
• GPS: €6.00 per day.
Fuel Policy:
• If the vehicle is not returned with a full tank, it must be returned with the same amount of fuel received.
Rental Period:
• The maximum rental period is strictly as contracted, unless extended;
• If the customer wishes to extend the rental period, they must return to the rental company at the end of the contract to sign a new agreement;
• The waiting time tolerance during business hours is 60 minutes, which will not be deducted from the rental period already contracted.
Vehicle Pick-Up & Return:
• Vehicle pick-up and return must be at the location agreed upon prior to contract signing;
• If the customer wishes, the vehicle may be delivered and/or collected at the airport and/or hotel, subject to the stipulated fee.
• Any further doubts or questions regarding the rental contract must be addressed in advance with the staff of Adelino e Décio III Lda.
• This rental contract is governed by Portuguese law. In case of disputes, both parties submit to the jurisdiction of the relevant local court.
